We painted along the dike, but I forgot to bring water for the water color, so...we broke off a piece of grapevine and attached it to a bucket to lower it into the water and fill it. Success! We could have stayed all day painting, but had to go home. Loved the little frog....I need to look up what kind of frog it was.
Although Lake Erie is not the prettiest great lake, it was fun to wake up to the waves. The view from our balcony was lovely! They are an eco-friendly place.....and found out that ALL parks in Ohio go out of their way to protect the environment.
The people at the Nature Center were very helpful, and we got to see all kinds of stuffed animals in there......a lot of birds especially. The best part it was only about an hour and a half away from Detroit!
I want to go back in the winter, it would be a great place to walk in the snow and x-country ski.
The front lobby....a glass from a lighthouse.
Lots of New England Asters and goldenrod.
......little white asters....
Now this is one honker bridge on I-280~
