This is one of my favorite paintings by Jay Asquini, my good friend and painting pal. He went to Italy this summer for 3 weeks. He sat and painted this beautiful landscape in Friuli. I love the dancing light on the ground, the free and easy style in his use of paint and the delicate sky with a touch of purple. The painting invites you to walk into it. This piece is now on display in the Daisy Lake Gallery in Dexter.....I think it would look great above my fireplace.

Jay's Painting
