I took pictures of our old sugar maple tree the other day and I am going to make a children's book about it. I am waiting for the words to come to me. I will be patient. The tree has been through a lot, including a couple of lightening strikes, and it still looks beautiful and abundant. In the past we have even had ducks living in the hole. At night raccoons will come down the hollow center, on their way to finding their nightly bounty. It is still standing.
