Saturday's Garden Bounty

Oh what a feast we had! Beets were boiling, blue squash in the oven with butter and maple syrup, raw carrots, green beans steamed with chard, sliced tomatoes and yellow cucumber, and the best of all.....Basil pesto on garlic bread. Oh ya, a little steak! The pesto was good........
  • basil
  • fresh garlic
  • toasted pecans
  • Parmesan cheese
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • pepper.......all in a blender. What heaven! I smell like garlic today, but I don't care! I have enough to freeze. My kids say I want too much praise for a meal, but I can't believe all this came from tiny seeds that I put into the ground and tended all summer! Oh well.

You deserve kudos for growing your beautiful food! I agree the transformation from seed to food is remarkable.

Take Care,
